The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce has recently partnered with the Small Business Development Center to offer regularly scheduled seminars at The Chamber on “How to write a Business Plan”.
The hour long program was scheduled to assist entrepreneurs in establishing a plan for their business venture. “People looking to start a business or seeking financial funding often contact the Chamber for assistance,” explains Chamber President, Deborah Auspelmyer. “We have a variety of resources available at the office including one-to-one consultations and micro-loan programs for entrepreneurs looking to start or expand their business. People contact us for funding, but have not yet written a business plan. This tool is essential for laying the foundation for a successful endeavor. Partnering with the Small Business Development Center to offer a regularly scheduled program enables us to enhance our services to entrepreneurs.”
Ken Rose, Director of the Montgomery County Business Development Center agrees, “Our office also receives calls on a regular basis from people looking for assistance with their business plans or seeking funding without having one written. Many business owners are re-evaluating their business plans and getting back to the basics of social networking. This service will make it easier for them to fulfill this need.”
Seminars will be held the 4th Friday of the month in August, October and December. Presenting at the seminar will be Amy Amoroso, Business Advisor, with the Small Business Development Center in Albany. “I am pleased to be able to work with The Chamber in meeting the needs of the business community,” remarks Amoroso. “It will help both organizations fulfill our missions of assisting business.”
