The evening will feature multimedia presentations of the restoration efforts to the Broodmare Barn, a 192 foot long, 3 story structure contructed in the 1870's by carpet manufacturing mogul Stephen Sanford. The buildiing was one of more than 40 that made up the 1000-plus acre "Hurricana Stock Farm", later named Sandford Stud Farm. The Friends and the Town of Amsterdam have expended over $170,000 on the project to date, focusing on the structural integrity of the building. The next phase will be much more visible.

We will be honoring our hardworking volunteers, who service CRHRA’s thirteen committees and whose continuing commitment to CRHRA is directly responsible for our chapter’s success. Their work enables CRHRA to carry out its mission of “serving the professional and advancing the profession” by assisting members attain certification, offering educational programming, assisting individuals who are entering and/or re-entering the workforce, promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, keeping our members informed through our newsletter, website, and social networking sites and promoting CRHRA through public relation and marketing.
Boarding time is 6:00 pm and the Captain JP sets sail at 6:30 pm, returning at 9:00 pm. After the annual business meeting and installment of the new board, the rest of the evening is reserved for light food, networking and plenty of fun. There will be a D.J. on board and a cash bar will be available all night. The price for this night of fun is $30 for members and guests. Members are encouraged to bring a guest and come ready to party!

On Saturday, June 12th, the Amsterdam Mohawks will be holding the "Gloversville Glovers Night" at their 7:05pm game at Shuttleworth Park. As a tribtue to the great Canadian-American League Professional Teams that once played in Gloversville in the 1930's-1951, the Mohawk Players will all be wearing "Gloversville Glovers Jerseys". The player's uniforms will then be autographed & auctioned off at the end of the game with the proceeds going to the Gloversville Little League, who is hosting the event. On hand for the opening pitch ceremonies will be former Gloversville Glovers Pitchers John Coakley (1950-1951) and Robert Sise (1951). Both players where part of the great teams that featured many future Major Leaguers including Jack McKeon, who would go o n to manage the florida Marlins over the Neew York Yankees in the 2003 World Series. Both players will be on hand to sign autographs and tell tales of their days in professional Baseball with interested fans for the first few innings of the game. All Fulton County Little League Players can pick up their free ticket for the event at Gloversville Little League Concession Stand starting on Monday June 7th.
