The Friends of Sanford Stud Farm will once again this year be providing coach transportation to/from the Sanford Farm to Saratoga Springs Race Track for the 95th running of the Sanford Memorial Stakes Race and Benefit Luncheon.

Old Fort Johnson National Historic Landmark is pleased to announce a “Christmas in July” CD release party for Liaisons Plaisantes, the 18th century period musicians quintet, on Saturday, July 24th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This candlelight evening program will feature a live performance by Liaison Plaisantes of the 18th century holiday music on their first ever CD entitled “A Plaisantes Christmas”.
Old Fort Johnson is privately owned by the Montgomery County Historical Society, a local, not-for-profit organization formed 106 years ago. It is located right off of Route 5 at the intersection of Route 67 in the village of Fort Johnson, one mile west of Amsterdam, just a short distance from Thruway Exit 27.

Parenting a Child with ADHD: Building Supports at Home and at School. The Parent Network of the Capital Region will offer this Free Training on: Friday, July 23rd, 10am - 11:30am at Family Resource and Support Center, Catholic Charities of Fulton & Montgomery Counties, 1 Kimball STreet, Amsterdam.
This training will provide an overview of the impact of ADHD on a child cognitively, socially, and emotionally in both early childhood and adolescence. We will deiscuss strategies and accommodations that can be used a home and at school that can help children with ADHD achieve success. Parents will be provided with checklists, sample forms, and other handouts that will serve as useful tools in working with your child's school.

Cancer Services Program of Fulton & Montgomery Counties in conjuction with the Amsterdam Mohawks are hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Night, July 9, game time 7:05pm. Mammograms can save lives. Nathan Littauer Hospital is celebrating improved access to mammogram screening in our Perth Office.
If you are a breast cancer survivor, please join us that night as our guest. To show our strength, we need: all survivors to go on the field with the players and walk the bases, a survivor to throw out the opening pitch, and a survivor to sing the National Anthem.
We will raise money with a special "pink jersey" auction. The team will be wearing pink jerseys which they will remove at the close of the game to their highest bidder. The funds raised will help support our breast cancer initiatives.
