Our neighboring counties include Fulton, Herkimer, Otsego, Saratoga, Schenectady, and Schoharie.

Montgomery County Business Development Center
A comprehensive resource for business and economic development and planning services throughout Montgomery County. Available services include business development and technical assistance; company and facility sitting; workforce and labor development; and government coordination, including permit processes and Empire Zone incentives. In addition, the Center provides County Planning services and grant writing. The Montgomery County Business Development Center is comprised of the Montgomery County Industrial Development Agency and the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development of Planning.

The Amsterdam Industrial Development Agency (AIDA)
A public benefit corporation whose purpose is to assist with the creation and retention of both employment opportunities and businesses in the City of Amsterdam. Services include: site or building location assistance, competitive lease rates, Property Tax Abatements through Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) programs, bonding (Taxable and Non Taxable), access to Empire Zone benefits, access to Job Training Programs & Employee Referral Assistance, competitive loan rates through the Jobs for Amsterdam (JFA) Program. AIDA also manages the Edson Street Industrial Park, a collection of 10 local businesses that employ local and regional residents. In addition to this we have tenants located throughout the City of Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam-Florida-Glen Zone
Designated on September 1, 1998, the zone is designed to encourage business creation, expansion and renovation, stimulate increased employment, and foster improvement in general living conditions. To receive certification a business must obtain a joint certification application from the AFG EZ office located at 61 Church Street, Amsterdam New York 12010.
