Chamber Scholarship

2009 Chamber ScholarshipThe Chamber offers two $500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors of any of the five school districts throughout Montgomery County. The scholarships are for seniors that are beginning their educational career at Fulton-Montgomery Community College and are presented on an annual basis.

Criteria for consideration include achievement, need, community service, and an essay on why the scholarship is important to the individual and how it will help achieve their career goals. A winner will be selected based on these criteria and the successful completion of the scholarship application by The Chamber's Scholarship Committee.

The Chamber initiated this scholarship program to continue its support of the community and provide an opportunity for local students to gain access to higher education and promote local higher education through FMCC, often the stepping-stone of many students' educational careers.

Contact The Chamber if interested in the scholarship program or assisting in furthering a local student's college experience.

Memorial contributions and donations to The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund can be made directly to The Chamber or at Citizen's Bank.

"...The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is a wonderful organization that brings people together. I would like to give my biggest thanks to those who chose me for this scholarship."
Sarah Woodcock, Scholarship Recipient
"I have participated in many different organizations growing up, the highlight of which would have to be when I went to Louisiana for a week in January to help rebuild communities with the Habitat for Humanity Organization. I am glad to be going to FMCC to get my Associates Degree. This scholarship will help me achieve my goal. I would like to thank the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce for giving me this opportunity."
John Maher, Scholarship Recipient
